Following up on the first Annual Conference of desiguALdades.net (2010) which focused on transregional interdependencies, the second Annual Conference will concentrate on interdependencies between struggles for the reduction of inequality and articulations of differences in Latin America. desiguALdades.net is an interdisciplinary, international and multi-institutional research network on social inequalities in Latin America supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in the frame of its funding line for area studies. The executive institutions of desiguALdades.net are the Lateinamerika-Institut of the Freie Universität Berlin and the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut of the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz, Berlin.
