Meeting of Networks of Latin American Researchers

On May 6, the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut hosted the "I Encuentro de Redes Latinoamericanas en Alemania. Ciencias sociales y humanidades en movimiento" (I. Meeting of Latin American Networks in Germany. Social sciences and humanities on the move).

The meeting brought together 23 researchers from the social sciences and humanities from Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Mexico who are working and researching in Germany at various stages of their academic careers.

Social sciences and humanities in motion

The meeting was organized by representatives of the Red de Científicos Argentinos en Alemania RCAA (external link, opens in a new window) (Network of Argentinean Scientists in Germany), the Network of Chilean Researchers in Germanyred INVECA e.V. (external link, opens in a new window) and the APOENA Network (external link, opens in a new window), an initiative of Brazilian researchers in Germany, in cooperation with the German Latin American Research Association ADLAF (external link, opens in a new window). The meeting focused on challenges associated with migration, mobility and international careers.
