As Internationalization Officer on the Federal Board of the Association of German Librarians (VDB), Christoph Müller, Head of the Digital Library and IT Infrastructure Department at the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut, has been elected spokesperson for the Library & Information International(BI-International) committee for a period of three years.
BI-International is a commission of the Federal Association of German Library Associations (BID) and has the task of promoting international professional exchange in the library sector with scholarship programs. The three library associations German Library Association (DBV), VDB and BIB as well as ekz.bibliotheksservice GmbH and the Goethe-Institut are represented on the committee. Together they develop the scholarship programs funded by the Goethe-Institut and evaluate the scholarship applications. The spokesperson coordinates the work of the committee and represents it externally.
