On July 2, members of the International Latin American Graduate (ILAG) Network, consisting of master's and doctoral students from the Freie Universität Berlin and universities in the UK with a focus on Latin America, visited the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (IAI). During the tour of the library and special collections, the visitors experienced the diversity of the IAI's holdings in situ. At the meeting with members of the IAI Research Department, the research line, the main research projects, the publication program and the program of scientific and cultural events at the IAI were presented. The meeting allowed a fruitful exchange of ideas on the current challenges of Latin American studies in Europe and the fundamental role of archives and open science in the global circulation of Latin American knowledge.
