Tschudi, Johann Jakob von (1818-1889)
Johann Jakob von Tschudi was a Swiss diplomat, doctor and natural scientist. He went on three expeditions to Latin America: 1838-1842 to Chile and Peru; 1857-59 to Brazil and Argentina; 1860-1862 to Brazil.
