Tschohl, Peter (1935-2007)

Peter Tschohl was a German ethnologist and Americanist. He studied ethnology, ancient American studies and German folklore and archaeology in Hamburg and Cologne and worked in the Puebla-Tlaxcala project of the German Research Foundation (DFG) from 1963-1967. From 1975 to 2000 he was a professor at the Institute of Ethnology at the University of Cologne.

Material

  • 7 folders and glue-bound bundles: typewritten manuscripts (copied/hectographed, including the unpublished habilitation thesis), small-format microfilm prints.
  • 36 books, presumably from Tschohl's private library, mainly on central Mexico.
