Stoetzer, Carlos Otto (1921-2011)

German historian and political scientist Carlos Otto Stoetzer was an internationally renowned scholar. He taught and conducted research at the Institute for Ibero-American Studies in Hamburg (now GIGA) and Fordham University in New York, among other institutions. From 1950 to 1952, he also worked for the Organization of American States (OAS). He was the author of numerous relevant works on the history and politics of Latin America

Material:  8 shelf meters of mainly handwritten notebooks, notes, and newspaper clippings from the period 1929-2005.

Provenance: Donated to the IAI in 2011.
