Biblioteca Luso-Afro-Brasileira

The multidisciplinary book series Biblioteca Luso-Afro-Brasileira (BLAB) - formerly Biblioteca Luso-Brasileira - was founded in 2022 and publishes monographs and collections on literature, culture, language, history, economy and politics from Portuguese-speaking countries. The series is open to cross-regional and comparative research.

The languages of publication are Portuguese, English and German. The book series follows internationally established scientific quality standards. All publications undergo a peer review process. The series is published by transcript Verlag für Kommunikation, Kultur und soziale Praxis. The volumes of the series are published in open access, usually open access gold, and in a parallel print version. Wide national and international circulation and accessibility is guaranteed. 

An editorial board decides on the inclusion of volumes in the series after evaluating the manuscripts submitted for publication. 

Members of the editorial board (appointment period 2022-2026): Tobias Brandenberger (Georg-August-Universität Göttingen), Karen Macknow-Lisboa (Leibniz Universität Hannover), Teresa Pinheiro (Technische Universität Chemnitz), Peter W. Schulze (Universität zu Köln), Joachim Steffen (Universität Augsburg), Doris Wieser (Universität Coimbra).
