SALALM

The Ibero-American Institute is an active member of the Seminar on the Acquisition of Latin American Library Materials (SALALM). This organization brings together libraries and collections focusing on the Latin American region and the Iberian Peninsula. At its annual conference participants develop joint projects and discuss current problems in building Latin American collections. Of key importance are contacts with book dealers and suppliers.

The 2009 conference "Migrations and Connections: Latin America and Europe in the Modern World" was held in Berlin.
