the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (IAI, Ibero-American Institute) is home to the largest specialist library in Europe on Latin America, the Carribean, Spain and Portugal.

An information center, a research center, and a cultural center, all housed under the same roof and on an equal footing give the Institute its unique profile and makes the IAI an important bridging institution between Germany and the Ibero-American world
