desiguALdades.net is an interdisciplinary, international research network working on interdependent inequalities in Latin America. It is coordinated by the Lateinamerika-Institut (LAI) of the Freie Universität Berlin and the Ibero-Amerikanisches Institut (IAI) of the Stitfung Preußischer Kulturbesitz. The network receives financial support by the German Bundesministerium für Bildung und Forschung (BMBF, German Federal Ministry of Education and Research).

The desiguALdades.net Working Paper Series serves to disseminate the first results of ongoing research projects in order to encourage the exchange of ideas and academic debate. Publications can be downloaded from the webpage of the IAI. A limited number of the papers is also distributed in printed version.
