How do I borrow materials?
You can enter your orders into the online catalog in our reading room or at www.iaicat.de . The materials will be available at the circulation desk in about thirty minutes. Starting August 2011, the time for delivering ordered materials will increase to approx. one hour due to extensive construction work. If you place your order before 5 p.m. weekdays or 12 noon Saturday, you can pick up your books the same day. Otherwise they will be ready for you the next working day. Please note that older books and special materials are usually only available the next working day.
How long can I borrow library materials?
Books published 1945 or later may be borrowed for four weeks. You may renew your loans two times, either online or by fax.
The loan period for videos and DVDs is two weeks.
Older books, microforms, large formats and periodicals may only be used in the reading room.
