Latino Studies

The library of the Ibero-American Institute (IAI) has been acquiring materials on a large scale from or about Spanish- and Portuguese-speaking minorities in the USA since 2005. It has been supported in this endeavor by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (German Research Foundation). Its acquisitions supplement the materials available in the special collection field of "North America" at the State and University Library of Göttingen.

The monographs, journals and electronic resources collected by the IAI are indexed in the online catalog and can be ordered on library premises or through the interlibrary loan system or the subito delivery service. The library's reading room has a special section for reference works, and additional online resources are available in the cibera virtual library on Ibero-America, Spain and Portugal.
